Fundraising Contractor
Kootenay Christian Academy (KCA) has a job opening for a Fundraising Contractor. The duties of this position will include:
• soliciting funds for the construction of a new school building
• completing and submitting grant applications on behalf of KCA
• coordinating fundraising activities with the existing KCA Development Committee

KCA helping to build a well for an African Christian school
Missionaries, Charles and Petra Wirrell,
will be building wells in Sierra Leone. The Students of KCA are
going to partner with this couple to build a well at a Christian
school in Africa. KCA students will continue to support our sponsored
children, Shabani and Heidy, in addition to building a well.
Let's partner together to teach our children to touch the lives of
others in meaningful ways!
Community Winter Carnival

Mission Trip Fundraiser
Our grade 9 students will be hosting a dessert night fundraiser and auction on Feb. 17 at Foursquare Church.
Tickets are available from any grade 9 student as well as the KCA office.
Come out and enjoy some pie and ice cream, entertainment and participate in the auction.
All proceeds go to the grade 9 missions trip to Alabama in June.
Open House
Friday, March 2 will be our annual Open House.
If you have friends or family interested in KCA, this is a great day to bring them to the school to check it out.
Tours will be given, and refreshments will be served all day in the library.
Southeast Disposal
We now have a bin outside Southeast Disposal at 1425 Industrial Road no. 2 (across from the bottle depot).
We get paid $25 a ton for our paper items including paper, telephone books, magazines, etc.
This bin is not for cardboard or any other recyclable material, only paper products.
Feel free to take your paper to this bin and fill it up!

Preschool
KCA Preschool runs Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday mornings 8:45-11:45 and Tuesday/Thursday afternoons 12:45-3:15. Spaces are still available. Registrations accepted anytime. For more info call 250-489-3426 or email: preschool@kcacademy.ca

Kootenay Christian Academy is an independent, Preschool to Grade 9, non-denominational school
serving Cranbrook and the surrounding area. KCA is fully accredited by the
British Columbia Ministry of Education and follows the British Columbia
curriculum guidelines.
