DESCRIPTION:A very warm welcome to the 2024/2025 school year! We are thrilled to embark on a new school\nyear filled with learning\, growth\, and His joy. Our dedicated staff has been working diligently to\nensure a successful year\, and we eagerly await the return of our students to campus.\nWe look forward to partnering with you in supporting your child’s education.\n\nThe first day of school will be a short day from 9AM – 11 AM.  Here are a few other reminders…\n\nDrop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures: When entering the parking lot\, please turn right and follow the flow of traffic to turn left and drop off your children at the grass area in front of the schoo. Pull up closely to the curb to avoid confusion and ensure the safety of yours and other children. Drive slowly and watch for pedestrians. If you are walking your child to the school please park on the gravel side of the parking lot. We call this procedure our “Kiss and Go.”\n\nSchool Supplies: All classrooms are equipped with the necessary supplies. Students will need indoor non-marking shoes\, a water bottle\, a backpack\, and daily lunch/snacks (we are a nut aware school\, not nut free unless specified by the classroom). Students in Grade 7 and up will also need a KCA gym shirt—more information to follow.\n\nDress Code: KCA implements a dress code that all parents agree to upon registration. SUMMARY:National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
DESCRIPTION:No School in Session.\n\nNational Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day for everyone to think about indigenous friends from First Nation\, Metis\, and Inuit communities and to think about how unfairly they’ve been treated and how unfairly they’re still treated. They are days to start trying to make things better\, and that’s called reconciliation.\n\n\nMaking things right can take time\, because we have to work on a relationship that has been broken. It can feel like a job too big for us\, but God is all about making things new again. That’s called renewal\, and Creator God invites us into his story for the renewal of all people and all creation. We can trust him to help us to make things right again.
